RULES SHEET

Each competition will have specific rules for individuals, and they are as follows:

  1. GEO Competition – play WHITE TEES – Player plays own ball at all times. Top active eight players qualify for Greater Eastern Open in August.

  1. Retiree Competition (65 and older) – play GOLD TEES – Players play own ball at all times

  1. Scramble – teams play the WHITE TEES – In the event that your group has only 3 players, rotate the 4th man’s shot. Scramble golfers can play preferred lies, within 1 club length of original position. Ball must stay in the same condition, i.e. ball in rough must remain in rough within 1 club length. Retirees can play from GOLD TEES.

Players competing for the chance to go to the Greater Eastern Open (GEO) as a member of Local 90 team will play from the WHITE TEES

Members vying for the GEO can play in the same group as scramble competitors, but cannot compete in both.  They must play from the WHITE TEES and play their own ball throughout. Must turn in own score card.

OUT OF BOUNDS (white stakes) – Hit next ball within 2 club lengths from where the ball crossed hazard, drops 2nd ball with 1 stroke penalty.

PLAY BALL AS IT LIES – no winter rules other than ground under repair or mud on ball in own fairway. Lift, clean & place.

NO GIMME’S – Must putt out on all holes

MAXIMUM NUMBER OF STROKES = Double Par (i.e. 8 on Par 4, 6 on Par 3, etc.)

CONTESTS: Closest to the pin on all Par 3’s (2, 9, 12, 16 and 18)

Hole # 8 – Closest to painted line.

Any questions on scoring or anything else, please keep score card and ask after play
